// tax_and_accounting

Built for firms that hit
a year of work in 90 days.

CPA firms, EAs, tax resolution shops, bookkeeping practices. We build the operational machinery that turns 80-hour weeks during season into a sustainable practice, and the marketing engine that keeps the off-season busy.

// what slows you down

The specific things tax & accounting operators tell us they wish were already fixed.

Document collection eats your January

Two FTEs chasing 1099s and W-2s by email. We deploy intake portals + AI-assisted document follow-up that handles the chasing without a human.

Off-season pipeline goes quiet

April 16 to October feels like a different business. We build nurture systems that keep prior-year clients engaged and feed advisory/resolution leads year-round.

Tax resolution cases you don't want to handle

Every preparer has the client with $40k of IRS debt they can't help. We've built the referral pipelines that monetize those clients without losing the prep work.

CE tracking is a spreadsheet, again

Manual logging, last-minute scrambles before renewal. We've literally built the CE platform — we know what it takes to make tracking automatic.

// we know the stack

We've already worked inside your tools.

We've worked inside the prep + practice management software tax firms actually use. We won't ask you to switch tools — we connect to what you already have.

// the tax-firm operating year

Each quarter has a different bottleneck. We build for all four.

Q1 · JAN — APR
Surge season
Bottleneck: Document chasing, late filers, scope creep
AI document follow-up + intake portal + capacity dashboards. The reason 80-hour weeks become 55.
Q2 · APR — JUN
Notice & extension season
Bottleneck: IRS CP notice flood, balance-due collections begin
Notice triage AI that classifies CP2000, CP14, LT11, sets urgency, drafts response shells.
Q3 · JUL — SEP
Advisory + planning season
Bottleneck: Pipeline goes quiet, year-end planning prospects underbooked
Nurture sequences that re-engage your prior-year client base and convert prep clients into advisory.
Q4 · OCT — DEC
Year-end & next-season prep
Bottleneck: Software setup, CE compliance, marketing for next season
CE tracking automation + next-season marketing builds + engagement letter automation.
// what we'd build for you

Custom software, built for your workflow.

Prep software ends at return delivery. Practice management ends at billing. The interesting tools — the ones that turn a firm into a system — live in the gaps between them. That's what we build.

Smart client intake + missing-doc chaser

Portal that asks for the right documents based on prior-year return + life-event prompts, then chases stragglers without your bookkeeper writing another reminder email.

IRS notice triage + draft-response engine

Client forwards the CP/LT notice → classification, urgency, deadline calendar entry, and draft response letter pre-populated for your EA to review.

OIC eligibility pre-qualifier

Quick public-facing calculator that filters tax-resolution leads. Surfaces the ones who actually qualify before they consume an EA's intake hour.

Engagement letter + scope-control system

Dynamic engagement letters that scope the work, lock in pricing, capture §7216 consent, and trigger e-sign + invoicing in one flow.

Real-time capacity dashboard for tax season

Per-preparer workload, returns in each stage, projected throughput vs. April 15. Stops the partner from finding out at 2am on March 28 that nobody finished the Joneses' return.

Off-season advisory funnel

Sequences and content that turn April prep clients into August advisory engagements — tax projection meetings, entity restructuring, R&D credits, etc.

// the constraints we build around

Built knowing what your compliance team will ask.

Circular 230

Practitioner standards for advertising, client communication, and conflicts.

§7216

Written consent before disclosing return information to any third party.

AICPA Code of Conduct

Independence, confidentiality, and integrity standards baked into client flows.

GLBA Safeguards

PII handling and the FTC Safeguards Rule for tax preparers.

State Board Rules

Jurisdiction-aware advertising and licensure-based content for CPAs and EAs.

IRS PTIN / CE

We literally built the CE platform — we know how this gets reported.

// faq

Things tax & accounting operators ask first.

Can you start work mid-tax-season?

Yes, but we phase it. We don't ship anything during the season that adds risk to your March / April delivery. We scope, integrate, and turn things on after April 15.

Do you handle IRS / state notice triage with AI?

Yes. We build classifiers that route incoming CP notices, set urgency, draft response shells, and surface deadlines — your humans confirm and send.

We're a small firm. Is this affordable?

We have scoped engagements for solo CPA / EA practices. The economics work because the same systems that let you handle 200 clients let you handle 600 without hiring.

Do you compete with our prep work?

Never. We're a systems and GTM partner. If you want to refer resolution cases to a partner firm, we can wire up that referral pipeline — but we don't prep returns.

The next tax season is closer than you think.
Let's build before the surge hits.
